I'm also a worrier. I think you're onto something with childhood insecurity causing a tendency to worry in adults - also growing up in a household with anxious energy. Kids pick up on that and take it on as the normal way to relate to life.
How to stop worrying?
I've not mastered this yet, but I'd say its something to do with acceptance of outcome, rather than having to control everything. Less judgement onam artificial notion of good and bad.
Quoting Mark Manson's theory of Self-Improvement (and his expletives):
"Self-improvement is about prioritizing better values, choosing better things to give a f*ck about. Because when you give better f*cks you get better problems. And when you get better problems, you get a better life."
I just finished his book and it really helped me think about what I care to worry about because like you, I worry about a lot of things, a lot of the time. By reframing my worries as values, it's a little bit easier to be more deliberate about the things I choose to spend my time worrying about.

Thanks for the post!
Glad it resonated!
Just wanted to share a meditation that helps me when I'm worried and need to be reminded I can't control everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EO1ZNpJF4v4
always appreciate you so much

Love this reframe, Jack! Thank you for sharing this.
I resonate with this so much. I just had to time myself that worrying is killing me faster and I've been more chill ever since 😂
Ohh this is a good self reminder!
