Welcome to Max’s Newsletter
Each week, I write a reflection called Sunday Thoughts and share other insights on community building, personal growth, and figuring out life without losing yourself in the process.
This newsletter is for people who care about growing, slowing down, and finding meaning in the middle of it all. For anyone who’s tired of surface-level advice and wants something a little more real.
Some weeks, I write about work and burnout. Other weeks, it’s about connection, creativity, or learning how to just be a person again. Always honest, sometimes messy, never over-polished.
If you like writing that feels like sitting with a friend who gets it, you’ll probably like it here. You’ll get one main post every Sunday and the occasional midweek note on what I’m learning about life and community.
A bit about me:
I’m Max, aka the One Hand Wonder Man. I’ve spent the past decade helping people build communities that actually feel like communities — not just another Slack group or social feed. Before that, I worked in the music industry, had my own freelance design business, burned out hard, and started rethinking what success actually means.
That’s part of why I write this newsletter. I’ve been on both sides — the hustle and the slowdown, the connection and the isolation. I know what it’s like to build something that looks good on paper but doesn’t feel good inside. Writing is how I make sense of it all, and how I help others do the same.
Outside of work, I DJ, write, and volunteer with organizations that support limb-different youth and inclusive design. I like creating spaces where people can show up as they are, and this newsletter is one of those spaces.
It’s free to read, but if you choose to become a paid subscriber, your support helps me keep showing up every week, keep building this corner of calm, and keep sharing stories that remind us we’re not alone.
Thanks for being here. I’m really glad you are.
