Hey everyone,
I put out a post this week about being more comfortable with my disability and I got a lot of love for it. It was a reminder to myself that being vulnerable and sharing my story is something that makes me happy and I plan on doing more of this.
Let’s get into it:
I’ve been finding a lot of joy in writing and it’s been much more fun without trying to tie metrics and outcomes to every new post. I'm just writing to write and to enjoy this form of expression.
Don’t forget to spend $ on what brings you joy today. Not everything needs to be saved and optimized for the future.
You can’t control a lot of things, but you can control how you show up. It’s not to say that you have to be positive all the time, but energy is contagious. When you show up ready to make an impact, others will too.
I recently finished The New Happy and in this book, the author encourages us to say a little silent wish such as “I hope you find everything that you’re looking for” for those who we pass by or interact with daily. I’ve been trying this and it’s a nice way to spread some positivity.
I'm back in Philly this week and I’m loving being with family.
Pictured here are some vintage perfume samples my grandma used to collect 😍
Song of the Week
I’ve had this on repeat a lot this past week. Feel good tunes 🙌🏼
As always, I appreciate you spending part of your Sunday with me. I hope that you have a great rest of your day and see you next week :)
I’ve lived in Texas for 8 years and I just visited Bucee’s for the first time… I sure spent a lotta $$$ on little shit that made me happy :)
Your note about that is perfectly in line with what Anya and I have been trying to embrace recently: a life of abundance. We’re realizing that being too frugal/cheap only does harm in the long run and in our auras..
I’ve been slowly making my way through The New Happy and it’s great! Sending a little wish your way
