Hey everyone,
For those who haven’t seen, your boy has been laid off from my job at Square. This is my second layoff in two years, and it just stings a bit, but I will get through this. I’m super grateful for all of the support and love in my life; I wouldn’t be able to do it without you.
This is a reminder to continue to show up, do good, express gratitude, and know that everything will work out in the end.
Let’s get into it:
Never get down on yourself for doing your best.
There are a lot of things outside of our control, but we can control how we show up daily, and that’s what I’m focusing on.
Learning to be more patient with myself while acknowledging that it will all get done.
My mood has been so up and down this week, and that’s okay. Taking it one day at a time.
I always get a little sad when I finish my coffee.
Pictured here is one of the many perks of an early morning walk 🌅
Song of the Week
This one has been on repeat lately. I love the vibes of this, and it's perfect for Spring.
As always, I appreciate you spending part of your Sunday with me. I hope that you have a great rest of your day, and see you next week :)

#5 is REAL! I also get excited for the coffee I’ll have the following morning as I’m drifting off to sleep 😴 💭☕️
Sorry to hear you were laid off. Sounds like you have a good outlook and are doing all the right things — but crappy nonetheless
Thank you for this post, Max. I've been learning how to implement point number 3 and being more patient with myself. On one hand, I have so many goals that I feel I'm running out of time. And on the other hand, I remember that I'm 18 and I still have a lot of time to learn, grow, and explore. Being patient with yourself is tough, but it works wonders.
