Hey everyone,
The news doomscrolling is back. To be fair, it has never left since the election, but I am catching myself falling into the same traps of scroll, deep breath, scroll, deep breath, and repeat.
I know this is not good for me, but I have been struggling to stop doing it anyway. This is a reminder to focus on what you can control. You can still be informed, but there’s a point where sometimes it does more harm than good.
Let’s get into it:
Note to self: You can’t worry away all of your future worries. Just focus on now and what you can control in front of you.
The pressure to feed the algorithm is so real. Sometimes I catch myself posting just to post.
The term "personal brand" gives me a bit of the ick, but the shift to viewing it as a key person of influence rather than an influencer is a great one.
Most of the time, I have no idea what I’m doing. When imposter syndrome hits, I have to remind myself that others are in the same boat. We’re all figuring it out.
I'm back in Philly this week, and I’m glad to be with the fam.

Song of the Week
I’ve been really into daste’s new songs, and this one hits.
As always, I appreciate you spending part of your Sunday with me. I hope that you have a great rest of your day, and see you next week :)

The doom scroll this week was in fact terrible! I could not put my phone down. I was even on reddit refreshing just to see more things. But today (Sunday) and tomorrow we are staying off social media to get back on the groove of things and our immediate reality. Thank you for sharing and starting it off with that. It hit lol
Also, good luck in Philly!
Have a great time with your family...all the while ignoring the news. It helps a lot to take breaks.
