Hey everyone,
I’ve been challenging myself a bit this week. Normally I put some pressure on creating content for LinkedIn frequently (3-5 times a week), but I hit pause on that this week.
Part of me posts for fun, but also for the need for external validation. I need to be liked by my peers. I need to know if they think I am good enough to be here. I need etc. I’m starting to get out of that mindset and more into one of being okay with who I am today. I don’t need to keep feeding the algorithm for the sake of it. I can spend more time offline and just be.
Let’s get into it:
Instead of buying new books, I’ve been re-reading the ones I currently have in my library and it’s been nice. I rewatch shows all of the time, so why not do this with books as well?
It’s a work in progress, but I’m doing my best to focus on the present. My anxiety peaks when I’m thinking too far in the future and I need to live in the moment more and enjoy the now.
Every morning I’ve been focusing on writing for 10-20 minutes as free flow. No goals except to get my thoughts out and it’s been very therapeutic.
As someone who loves routine, it’s okay to switch it up. Lean into what’s serving you and cut out what isn’t.
I have really been enjoying cooking lately. It’s something about being in the kitchen that brings me closer to my Mum and I love the feeling.
Pictured here is our booth at a craft fair this weekend. Shout out to all of the small business owners out there 🙌🏼
Song of the week
This week I wanted to share a playlist that I recently created. These are some great tunes to relax to on this lovely day.
As always, I appreciate you for spending a part of your Sunday with me. I hope that you have a great rest of your day and see you next week :)
I love the idea of revisiting books like we do our favorite shows. I often reach for the 7 Spiritual Laws of Success and The Alchemist as re-reads annually, but I feel like I'm being called to different motivational books to add to that list. Would love to know what you are re-reading!
Great ideas, Max. I especially like the freewriting idea first thing in the morning. It's so easy to get sucked into email-land!
