Hire Community Job Round Up - February 8th 2024
Check out some of the latest community roles and community manager spotlights from this past week
Last year, my friend Lizzie and I put together a community manager member board called Hire Community so that they could add more information about their work and what they’re looking for.
It was a fun project to work on and loved giving community managers a spot to feature their profiles. From the start we never wanted to charge money for either the job seeker or the company, so initially, we paid for everything out of pocket. But in all honestly it was super expensive to run and maintain, so we decided to sunset it when the year was up.
However, my itch for helping other community professionals find work never went away. So last week I decided to do something and just make a short post on Linkedin featuring some cool community roles that I had come across the week prior. The response was overwhelming with the amount of gratitude and just reminded me that there is a big need for this in our space.
After sitting with my thoughts a bit, I thought “hmm, I could continue to do this weekly and also feature some community pros who are on the job hunt as well.”
So with that, here is the first edition of the Hire Community Job Round Up. I’m aiming to make this a weekly series featuring cool community roles that I have seen online and also a dedicated space to feature the amazing community managers out there too.
My goal with this is to get more community managers hired. Thank you for joining me!

Open for Hire: Community Manager Features
Ruthie Berber - Ruthie spent the last 7+ years managing community over at Yotpo and is currently working with Led by Community as their NYC Chapter host, and doing fractional work with Twenty. She’s one of the kindest people I have met in this space and would be an awesome addition to any team! This is your chance to hire her before someone else does!
Helena Brandist - I met Helena last June when we were speaking at the Community Rebellion Conference. Since hearing about and seeing her work at Miro and building the Miroverse Community, I was blown away. Super talented and knowledgeable in all things community, plus is just an all-around great human.
Dipisha Patel - I’ve been connected with Dipisha on Linkedin for a while now and she has always been so supportive and helpful in my community journey. She is the founder of Drive and a great community builder and connector. If you’re looking to add a stellar community builder to your team, look no further!
Jamie Langskov - Jamie is a community expert with over 15 years of experience in this industry and also host of Community Unlocked. One of the brightest people I have come across in this space and so much deep knowledge of community, strategy, and marketing. Make the smart choice and hire Jamie!
Until next time 👋
Before I forget, big kudos to Carrie Melissa Jones, Community Inc (Gareth), and Led By Community for doing an awesome job at curating community job round-ups too. If you aren’t following them already, go check them out.

Thank you for including me in this Max! I appreciate the mention very much. Throughout my career I aim to build relationships and learn from them instead of just selling. I've also noticed how the approach can be different when selling products vs. people. Either way, I think it's more beneficial to build on relationships that are aligned with us and introduce them to products that could benefit them :)
Thanks for the share Max
